Comfortably furnished holiday house with a well-tended garden, in an idyllic location

This detached single-family house is on a south-facing slope and therefore has sunshine all day long and a view of the mountains and Gastein. The location is perfect for a range of activities. The house was built in 1900.

The fully enclosed garden with a terrace invites you to relax and to dine with a view of Gastein and the Alps. A bedroom opens onto a balcony, ideal for retreating and reading a book. Right in front of the house there are two private and free parking spaces for two cars. Pets are not allowed.

The cosy wooden chalet has been standing for over 100 years. It was completely renovated in spring 2016 and now offers a cosy interior and modern furnishing. The living and dining room provides two sofas, a coffee table and a dining table for up to six people. You can relax in the evening with satellite TV programmes, while the electronically regulated pellets stove exudes a cosy atmosphere and pleasant warmth on cold days, with a visible fire. If you look out of the window of the living room, which has old ceiling beams, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains. In the evening you can enjoy the view of the Gastein sea of lights. The kitchen, hand-finished with old wood, is equipped with an oven, a ceramic hob, a fridge, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and dining bench with a table. You can wake up with a view of the mountains and fall asleep with a view of the sparkling lights of Gastein, offered by the first bedroom with handmade solid furniture from a Gastein carpenter, including a double bed 180cm wide. The second bedroom is especially spacious, with solid wood furniture and a bed 180cm wide. In the morning you can go straight onto the balcony and breath in the fresh morning air of the Gastein mountain world. The third bedroom has a futon bed 140 wide. The bathroom is rustic, modern and generous. You can relax under a rain shower. The washbasin of old river stone is an eye-catching feature. Plenty of wood and stone make showering an experience. The storage room at ground level has space for skis, bicycles and sledges. The house has two further guest WCs. A washing machine (free of charge) and partial underfloor heating are available. The whole house has heating and Wi-Fi (3GB free).

This is one of the few chalets on the sunny side of Gastein within a five-minute walk of the golf course, the riding stables and the tennis courts. Enjoy the sun all day long and the view of the Alps and Gastein. The hiking path into the Kötschachtal and mountain biking trails start in front of the house. Within a kilometre you can find several restaurants and a bakery. There are shops in Badgastein or Bad Hofgastein.

    “Immer wieder gerne. Tolle Lage, Altes Bauernhaus toll modernisiert. Positiv: Der Blick nach Bad Gastein und in die Berge ist fantastisch.
    Viele schöne Ideen, wi z.B. die Klappbank auf dem Balkon von wo man ebenfalls frühstücken kann wie auch im schönen Garten.
    Tolles modernes Bad. Negativ: Handtücher sind abgezählt, Ein zwei mehr wäre schön gewesen.
    Im Untergeschoß bildet sich Schimmel. Restaurant: Hexenstüberl - Urige Kneipe mit Livemusik Ausflüge: Bad Gasteiner Höhenweg - Schöne Wanderung auch durch Schluchtund Höhlen”
