Tannenberg parish house – holiday with friends and family

This wonderful old parish house is situated in the tranquil Tannenberg near Schongau. It is about 20 minutes by car to Ammersee, the royal castles and Wieskirche. There are great hiking paths and mountain bike tours starting by the house.

A fabulous garden (3300m²) with old fruit trees, a little pond surrounds the house. There are many spots for lounging, playing and sitting. Children love our big suspended tent.

The parish house has been left in its original condition, but has a modern interior. The house has an adjoining old cow barn, where wood for your cosy fireplace stove in the big lounge (for 20 people) is stored. You can relax in the lounge on the cosy heated stove bench, warm up after hiking or skiing or simply chat. The house has three bedrooms, two generous hallways upstairs and downstairs (ideal for children to run around), a kitchen, three bathrooms and a guest toilet.

It is by the lovely Weichberg, so you can set out directly for hiking or biking. There are several swimming lakes and the Lech high trail nearby. Our favourite path (particularly beautiful early in the morning) starts in Tannenberg and leads via the little chapel at the exit to the locality towards Burggen through fields.

Peace and quiet is the true luxury of our time. Like all our visitors here, you will find that you can find peace here, spending more time in the house and garden than out and about.

    “Sehr liebevoll detailreich renoviertes Haus mit einem traumhaften Garten. Wenn die Küche noch erneuert ist (wird demnächst gemacht) wird es noch besser. Bei einer Belegung mit 10 Personen muss die Dusch-und Toilettennutzung etwas geplant werden ;-)”

    “Wir haben mit 10 Personen ein sehr schönes, entspanntes Familienwochenende mit zwei Hunden im Pfarrhof verbracht. Sehr schönes, altes und geräumiges Gebäude in ländlicher Umgebung. Modern und stilvoll eingerichtet - alles sehr sauber. Zudem war das Haus sehr gut eingerichtet, es fehlte eigentlich an nichts - vom Fön über Toilettenartikel bis zu den Küchengewürzen war alles vorhanden. Super nette Gastgeber. Der große und wunderschöne Garten mit Teich und altem Baumbestand lädt zum Entspannen ein. Eine moderne Tischtennisplatte, ein Badmintonnetz sowie ein tolles Hängezelt sorgen für Abwechslung und Spaß im Pfarrhof. Perfekt auch zum Wandern, Radfahren oder für Ausflüge zu nahe gelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Wieskirche, Schloss Neuschwanstein, Forggensee, Ammersee etc.). Einkaufsmöglichkeit in einem kleinen, aber gut sortiertem Supermarkt im ca. 3 km entfernten Burggen vorhanden - Backwaren waren dort allerdings nicht nach unserem Geschmack. Der örtliche Bäcker, der uns auch von den Gastgebern empfohlen wurde, hatte leider wegen Krankheit geschlossen. Der Pfarrhof ist auf alle Fälle einen (eigentlich auch mehrere) Besuch(e) wert.”
