"Montiboli Beachfront Holiday Apartment" is located in Villajoyosa, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain.
You couldn't find a better holiday destination at the Costa Blanca that offers you both spectacular views and heavenly peace, combined with the convenience of being within easy reach of interesting places to visit. From the balcony and living room you will never tire of the sweeping views over the Mediterranean Sea and the lovely beach of La Caleta, which is just a stroll away from your doorstep!

Montiboli Beachfront Holiday Apartment is situated in the 3 star hotel "Bluesense Villajoyosa Beach Resort".

It has the use of 4 tennis courts all year round at no extra cost for our guests. The swimming pool is open from April to October, with lifeguard service in summer and free use of the lounge chairs and parasols. You can order your snacks and drinks at the bar/restaurant around the swimming pool.

From the apartment you have immediate access to the pebble beach, with a pleasant stroll through the beautiful and shady garden of the hotel, where you also find a playground for your children. The palm trees and lawn on the beach of La Caleta offer a perfect spot to keep you protected from the rays of the sun. Lifeguard service is available for free and beach chairs and parasols are for rent on La Caleta Beach from 15 June till 15 September.

There is also a "chiringuito" (open air grill BBQ restaurant) on the beach in front of the apartment, where they serve tasty snacks and cool drinks from June till September.

Montiboli Beachfront Holiday Apartment features a south oriented and covered balcony, high quality furnishings with a vintage touch, natural daylight in all rooms, comfortable sleeping and bathing, satellite TV and home theatre system, guide books, tasteful artwork and a compact but complete kitchen.

From the living area and the master bedroom you will enjoy the beautiful views over the Mediterranean sea and the unspoiled hills surrounding the little secluded cove of La Caleta. No obstructed views here. This is a highly desirable and quiet location with the most sweeping views at the Costa Blanca.

The balcony offers amazing views and is ideally arranged to have your meals outside. If you want to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer in the shade you can lower the sun blind while keeping the spectacular views over the beach and the sea.

Inside, you will enjoy the furnishings throughout. The spacious living room with cosy sofas and entertainment centre is the perfect place to relax and chill out. The glass dining table with 4 comfortable chairs is ideal for enjoying your meals with your family/friends whilst keeping the great views over the Mediterranean sea. Our compact but fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops has all appliances you need to fix everything from a gourmet meal to preparing refreshing drinks.

In the evening you can enjoy the flat screen satellite TV and our DVD collection, surf the net with our free WiFi, listen to your favourite music or our CD’s on the home theatre system, or just sit on the balcony to read and enjoy the views.

You will be staying in a Full Size bedroom featuring a King Size bed (1.8 m wide) and large wardrobe. Through the full-length glass sliding doors you will enjoy the views and the direct access to the balcony. A remote controlled ceiling fan will keep you cool on hot summer nights!

The second bedroom has 2 comfortable single beds (90cm each) and a wardrobe. For single occupation 1 bed can be stowed away under the other. This bedroom has also a ceiling fan to keep you cool during hot summer nights. A baby cot is available upon request.

The fully tiled bathroom comprises of a handy sink unit with a large mirror with lights over the top and a storage unit underneath, toilet, and bath with enclosed shower.

When it is time to venture out onto the beautiful beach of La Caleta in front of the apartment, no need to fret about beach supplies, your new home-away-from-home comes stocked with beach mats (2), chairs (2) and parasols (2).

The kitchen inventory includes washing machine, compact dishwasher, water cooker, micro wave oven with grill, fridge and freezer, toaster, mixer, electric cooking plate, electric citrus press, saucepans, plates etc....

An iron and small iron board is available.

Montiboly Beachfront Holiday Apartment is located in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Montiboli, with the services of a 3 star and a 5 star hotel next to your door.

Most probably you will want to spend lots of time relaxing on the outside balcony which is mostly covered, but is also suitable for those who want to work on their tan.

From the balcony you will never tire of the unobstructed views ranging from the beautiful architecture and gardens of the 5 star Montiboli hotel nestled on the cliffs, to the palm trees on the beach of La Caleta and the many shades of blue of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea, to the unspoiled hills of the natural reserve surrounding the lovely little cove of La Caleta.

Only a short walk through this natural reserve brings you to the mythical watchtower of El Charco where you will find yourself in the most idyllic scenery to watch spectacular sunsets. You will not soon forget this romantic spot for sharing evening sunsets and returning to your holiday apartment under the twinkling lights of the stars. Because of its covered privacy, we often stroll to this hidden gem to watch the sunset and return under the stars with the cool breezes and the sound of the nearby sea.

Villajoyosa is an enchanting little fishing town located some 3 km from the apartment. It´s a historical town famed for its brightly coloured houses, its beach, its fish auctions and its chocolate factories, yes you read it correctly – chocolate factories. So no wonder it´s called The Village of Joy.

Villajoyosa has always had a strong relationship with the sea, and has managed, despite the growing number of tourists each year, to preserve some of its quirky historical and cultural features. The story behind its vibrantly coloured houses is quite endearing really : the idea behind painting the houses in such eye-catching colours was to ensure that sailors from the village could see their houses from afar at sea, therefore making the difficult task of finding their way home that little bit easier! Whatever the reason behind it, we love it. It gives the place such character.

Not only does Villajoyosa have bucket loads of history, character and quirkiness to offer to anyone who wishes to step foot on this authentic bit of Spanish heaven, it also has a beach and port area. This beach, lined with the traditional coloured houses, is a far cry from the typical beaches you will find along the Mediterranean Sea. It is a relatively long beach, with golden sand, clear blue water and clusters of palms to keep you protected from the rays of the sun, it is set in an idyllic location, surrounded by mountains, what more could you ask for?

Being the authentic fishing town that it is, every evening, once the fishermen have returned from their daily trips, an auction is held selling the freshest of fish and sea food from the area, you can´t get really get more authentic than that, no wonder this town has such character!

So all in all you will be pleasantly surprised with what this little town has to offer. The perfect balance of sun, sea and culture.

Villajoyosa is most definitely an example of a seaside resort that has remained true to its traditions and remained completely unspoilt by tourism. I would definitely recommend a visit to this town if you want to experience a taste of what real Spanish life is all about.

The more busy seaside resort of Benidorm is only 15 km away. Other interesting places within easy reach to visit are Alicante, Guadelest, Finestrat, Calpe. Even Valencia is within reach for a 1 day visit to this beautiful town. Excellent hiking opportunities are available in the direct neighbourhood of the apartment, as well as in the Sella and Jalon region.

There are also golf courses around this area in easy reach by car.

Getting around:

A bus runs from Montiboli Beachfront Holiday Apartment every second hour into the town of Villajoyosa. At 1km you have a stop of the Costa Blanca express tramway, connecting to Alicante, Benidorm and Denia.
A grocery store and restaurants can be found at the tram station.
Airport of Alicante at 40km, 35 minutes by car.
