Delightful Ground Floor Apartment with Superb Communal Swimming Pool in Kato Paphos


This centrally located, fully equipped ground floor apartment is located only approximately a 15 minutes walk from the lively, picturesque harbour area of Kato Paphos on the sunny island of Cyprus. Less than a couple of minutes walk from the property is the Elysia Plaza which comprises: the Arabica (a popular bar/cafe/restaurant}, a convenience store, a pharmacy and a nail studio. There is also an excellent fitness centre with well equipped gym and indoor pool.

Enhanced by a secluded patio/garden area, this beautifully furnished one bedroom apartment is ideal for couples or families. It features a fully fitted kitchen, a living-/dining area and a bedroom with two single beds. WIFI and flat-screen TV make it the perfect home from home.

Guests can enjoy their private patio/garden area with table and chairs. There is a large communal swimming pool with free sunbeds; shades and changing/toilet facilities.

Out and About

The area of Paphos is steeped in historical interest. In ancient times, Paphos was the capital of Cyprus and is reputedly the birthplace of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love.

Many of Paphos’ attractions are within walking distance. Alternatively, there is an excellent, cheap local bus service and taxis are readily available (details of both in the apartment).

Combine the ancient and modern, and visit the state of the art air conditioned Kings Avenue Shopping Mall with abundant shops, restaurants, softplay area and cinema – situated almost adjacent to some of the famous historic heritage sites.

Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car and discover a wider area – perhaps the beautiful beaches of Coral Bay, the Troodos Mountains, the unspoilt Akamas, local wineries, historic Nicosia – or even cross the Green Line into the Turkish part of Cyprus.

Eating

If you have young children, there are many family friendly restaurants within easy walking distance – some with their own softplay areas. For a quick and easy tasty meal try Pambis – only a five minute walk away and very popular with the locals! And for a gourmet treat, why not try the award winning Seven St George’s meze restaurant or a delicious Italian dish at Grazie’s.

Alternatively, there are details of takeaways/home deliveries provided for you in the apartment – including Indian, Chinese, Pizza, and KFC : even McDonalds deliver in Paphos!

Or if you prefer to create your own culinary feast, the kitchen is fully equipped with full sized oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Fresh, cheap local produce is readily available from the nearby local shop or Papantoniou’s (fifteen minutes walk) offer an even wider range of English and Cypriot groceries.

    “Lage, Zustand und Sauberkeit der Wohnung ist in Ordnung. Ebenso die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Gastronomie in der Nähe.
    Nicht gefallen hat uns: Die Wohnung war am Anfang zu kalt, es gibt keinen Heizofen, die eingebauten Geräte waren wenig wirksam, wir haben uns mit dem Fön beholfen. Es gibt keine Verlängerungsschnur und im Bad fehlt eine Elektosteckdose. Die Steckdosen sind englische, sodass ein Adapter erforderlich ist, den man kaufen muss.
    Wenn die Sonne nicht scheint, gibt es kein warmes Wasser; man muss sich dann warmes Wasser mit dem vorhandenen Wasserkocher zubereiten.”

    “Considering the very high level of interaction between myself and the guests, both before and during their stay, I was very disappointed to read this review. It certainly does not reflect the comments made at the time.
    To address the criticisms:
    As is common practice in Cyprus, the apartment is fitted with high efficiency reversible heat pumps (air conditioning units} which are very adequate for cooling during the hotter months and heating in the cooler months.
    There are obviously no electric sockets in the bathroom for safety reasons. There is a dressing table with mirror and stool in the bedroom for hair styling.
    Hot water is provided automatically via solar panels. There is an immersion heater to top up in winter as necessary. Clear instructions are provided in the welcome pack.
    UK type electrical sockets are standard in Cyprus.”

    “Zwar weit vom Strand entfernt, allerdings hat man ja den großen Gemeinschaftspool und im besten Fall einen Mietwagen.
    Supermärkte wie Lidl und Alpha mega (ähnlich wie Real) und kleinere Supermärkte sind in 5 Autominuten erreichbar.
    Die Wohnung liegt ruhig.
    Alle Angaben sind wie versprochen vorzufinden bis auf die Waschmaschine, sie ist anscheinend nur Deko und funktioniert nicht (Stand Anfang Okt 2018).
    Die Wohnung kann ich für max 3 Personen weiterempfehlen. Wir waren zu 4 dort und das Schlafsofa ist nicht das Komfortabelste.
    Die Terrasse ist toll, die Küche funktionsfähig und das Bad klein und praktisch. Daumen hoch!”

    I have checked and used the washing machine today (22 October) and found it working satisfactorily.
    Our management company have not informed us of any problems reported.”
