Slagelse is also famous for the Guards Regiment and the Cavalry rides through the streets of Salgelse every Wednesday. The Great Belt Bridge will take you to the attractions of Funen and the lovely estates on the island. The Egeskov Castle is situated on Funen which is a good destination for the whole family, because of a range of interesting activities in the park. The coast along Zealand is rich in fish and is perfect for anglers. The nearest golf course is 18 km away. The Reersø Peninsula is ideal for hikers who have an opportunity to explore the area. Experience the 9 km long coast in Reersø, which leads you to fantastic nature: to the east and in the direction of Zealand, you come across the wet meadows - Flasken, Skiften and Vejlen - where you can see ducks, waders and also interesting flora. In Reersø you can enjoy the ambience of a beautiful village. There is a small harbour with fish shop and smokehouse. Do visit the Birkegårdens Haver that has animals and a games park, and the Kragerup Manor where you have activities like treetop trail or a moat for a canoe ride. The nearest golf course is 18 km away. This region offers much more: in Gørlev, every Saturday the morning market is open (in summer), Løve is home to the Rosarium Rose Museum, with an impressive collection of roses in the show garden. The agricultural museum is in Dalby. If you cross the Great Belt Bridge you can visit, in Funen and Jutland, the castles, the Legoland, Ribe Cathedral, Djurs Summerland and the Kattegat Centre.
