Holiday apartment on a farm, with horse boxes

The Rodenkrog farm stands alone in a fabulous landscape on the edge of the Schleswig-Holstein Switzerland, a ten-minute drive from the sea. Only a field track leads to the 5-hectare site, which has many wonderful places to relax or play. Horses, hens, cats and rabbits belong to the farm and you can observe many wild animals in the immediate vicinity. It is hardly possible to spend a quieter holiday closer to nature.

The holiday apartment on one floor with a separate entrance exudes a sense of well-being and is designed in a modern country style. There is a big, light living room with a quality sofa bed. There is also a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm) and a supplementary bed (80 cm). There is a very well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. There is also a bathroom with a bath. The apartment provides plenty of space for up to four people, with a special atmosphere. Its 76m² are charmingly decorated and furnished and provide a high standard of comfort. Satellite TV and wireless Internet access are available.

The living room opens onto a private terrace with a wonderful view of the landscape. It provides garden furniture, a parasol, garden loungers and a grill. Next to it there is a little annex for storing e.g. bicycles. There are various parking spaces on site.

The owners also welcome guests with horses, as stables and paddocks are available. The site is fenced towards the track and bordered by a stream towards the landscape.

What is special about the Rodenkrog farm is its seclusion and the freedom on the 50,000m² farm site. Children have plenty of space to play, as well as a playground. The owners themselves have a young daughter. The apartment fulfils a yearning for good old country life. Fruit can be picked upon request. The owner offers practical participation for those interested in this and other manual tasks. You can go on beautiful works in the immediate surroundings, or on riding excursions. The big lake Selenter See with a place for swimming is 5km away and it is 12km to the sea. There are shopping facilities and restaurants in Lütjenburg 5km away with its charming old town. There is an indoor swimming pool in Plön, a leisure pool in Weissenhäuser Strand, along with plenty of culture and music, various museums, and the medieval Turmhügelburg. Many manor houses and farms offer a variety of events. Places of interest, animal parks with various themes, river and lake trips, various sports e.g. sailing or diving and many other recreational activities are easy to get to from the Rodenkrog farm. Our region is popular for cycling.

    “Tolle Ferienwohnung! Positiv: Gute Ausstattung. Alles vorhanden was man so brauchen kann. Restaurant: Foodschmiede by Central - Gutes Restaurant in Hohwacht. Burger, Rips und leckere Schnitzel. Für Fischgerichte wird vom Restaurant selbst der „Klabautermann“ empfohlen.”

    “Gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Sehr freundliche Vermieter. Auf dem kleinen Bauernhof gigt es Hühner und einen Hahn ( der kräht zwar aber die Fenster schliessen sehr gut ), Hasen, Wachteln und Pferde ( nicht zum Reiten ). Und von den Hühnern bekommt man auf Wunsch leckere Eier.
    Rundum Wohlfühlathmosphäre”

    “Wir hatte 2 tolle Wochen auf dem Hof. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Küche ist super ausgestattet. Waschmaschine gegen Entgelt nutzbar. Für die Kinder gibt es auch reichlich zu entdecken.”
