Take the opportunity to get to know the Friuli region, to taste its excellent wines, including the very famous Tocai, but also to visit the beautiful cities like: Udine (10 min by car), Cividale del Friuli (25 km), which was the capital of the first Longobard duchy in Italy, and Aquileia (35 km), which became the third most important city of the Roman Empire, whose testimonies are visible in its immense archaeological area. Both Cividale and Aquileia are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Just 20 minutes by car is also Palmanova, whose name in Friulian dialect means "palm trees" and whose imposing fortress shaped like a nine-pointed star gave it the name of "the star city". Since the year 2017 the fortress of Palmanova has become part of the UNESCO World Heritage. From this accommodation you can also leave for Trieste and Venice, reachable both by car and by train. The king of the rivers of Friuli, the Tagliamento, is only 12 km away and is suitable for bathing.
