This rustic water mill from 1812 is located across from the town of Tourteron, on the border to the French Ardennes and the Champagne region. The spacious 400 m² house has a 5700 m² garden. This mill originally consisted of three parts: a mill, a bakery and two apartments. All of these areas are interconnected.
Via a staircase and a hallway, you access the first floor with the large bedroom, which offers views over the garden with trees and the valley. The small library in the stairway is stocked with books from the Netherlands, England and France, as well as a large selection of cook books. If needed, you can find additional bedding, pillows and duvets in the vestibule. The two bedrooms, which originally housed the bakery, are on the smaller side and comfortably furnished. On the second floor, you will find the fourth and largest bedroom with garden views. Each bedroom has a private bathroom.
The 80 m² ground floor and the two apartments make up the centre of the house. In the middle, you will find the old double chimney, which originally divided the two apartments. The living room has a sitting area and a dining room table for ten. The designer kitchen by Miele is the focal point of the house. It is fully furnished with everything you need. It boasts an island with an induction cooker stove, a convection oven, a dishwasher a refrigerator with an ice maker, a freezer compartment, storage space and dishes for ten people. The utility room, equipped with a washer and dryer, is located on the ground floor.
