L'ubicazione è in posizione strategica; infatti, se per un verso il BeB si trova nei pressi del viale Lido (quindi in posizione molto centrale), per un altro verso, la distanza che separa il BeB dal viale stesso (c.a. 70 mt) è garanzia di silenzio e serena permanenza per i villeggianti. Marricriu infatti si trova lungo una via privata che si innesta direttamente sul viale lontano dai rumori provenienti dal traffico cittadino, ma vicinissima a bar, pizzerie e ristorante convenzionato (Portomatto), gelaterie, supermercati, posta, edicola, farmacia ecc.. a circa 100 mt c'è una grande pista ciclabile e pedonale ideale per fare jogging, giostrine per bambini. This holiday accommodation is a new apartment in a villa with a pool in Avola in the province of Siracusa in the south-east of Sicily. The town is famous for its baroque architecture, golden beaches and culinary specialities. The property is just 300 metres from the sea, in a quiet location.
The house that was recently renovated (in 2011) has an elegant interior with new furniture and provides every comfort and convenience. It uses solar energy to supply hot water. Each room has a ceiling fan and partial air conditioning. There are two bedrooms each with a double bed and a single bedroom (each mattress measures 90 x 190cm). There is also a spacious living room-kitchen and there is a bathroom with a shower. Wireless Internet access is available free of charge throughout the apartment and also by the pool. There is a storage room with a washing machine and cleaning utensils.
The house has its own veranda next to the kitchen with a table and chairs, so that you can dine outdoors. There is also a shared outdoor area, partially paved, partially with lawn, where you can also find the swimming pool area with a parasol and deckchairs. You can enjoy the sun here all day long. The pool measures 4 x 8m with a maximum depth of 1.4m. Therefore it is suitable for both adults and children. The garden has garden furniture, a children’s swing and a barbecue for the use of all guests. Of course there is also a practical outdoor shower that you can dip into quickly when you come back from the seaside.
The holiday apartment provides maximum comfort for a relaxing holiday in Sicily. It is in a convenient location, as it is near the road that links the historic centre of town with the seaside. The location is very central, but nevertheless ensures a quiet stay, as it is on a private road away from street and traffic noise.
Bars, pizzerias and local restaurants, icecream counters, supermarkets, a post office, a kiosk, a pharmacy etc are all nearby. There is a grocery shop about 800 metres away. About 100 metres away there is a big cycling and walking path, ideal for jogging and inline skating. The accommodation is also a good starting point for going on trips. The house is 5km from Noto, 20km from Siracusa, 15km from the Vendicari nature reserve, 20km from Capopassaro, 5km from the Cavagrande nature reserve. You can also go on (organised) day trips to Taormina, Etna, the Agrigento temple valley, Palermo or Erice.
