    “Der Freudensee ist fußläufig erreichbar, wenn man keine Scheu vor Steigungen hat. Hunde sind dort leider nicht so gerne gesehen, lediglich im hintersten Eck gibt es eine Stelle, an der sich auch Vierbeiner abkühlen dürfen. Dort gibt es eine nette Familienbadestelle mit seichtem Wasser und einem Spielplatz. Leider mit Kies statt Sandstrand.

    Hauzenberg ist ein kleines Nest, es gibt jedoch Kaufland, Netto, Lidl und Edeka. Relativ wenig Gastronomie und diese mit einem bescheidenen Angebot. Preislich nicht ganz so günstig wie sonst aus dem Bayerischen Wald gewohnt, aber durchaus annehmbar.”
