    “Quiet village with the essential boulangerie, small shop with selection of fresh products as well as other groceries. Bar few minutes away although wasn't open every day during our visit. Friday evenings a mobile pizza van parked for a few hours outiside the school.

    The Tourist Office is only a few minutes away, right next to the Battery which is worth a visit. The coast is just a little further down the road but quite a steep hill down to beach.

    Longues-sur-Mer is a perfect base for visiting the Landing Beaches with Arromanches less than ten minutes drive away. Also very near is Port en Bessin, small fishing town with many restaurants as well as a good Sunday market. Bayeux very close, lovely town with the famous Tapestry.”

    “Klein, leuk plaatsje. Bakker en slager letterlijk om de hoek. Supermarkt op 10 min. in Bayeux of Port en Bessin. De batteries de Longues sur mer zijn op 10 min loopafstand te bewonderen. Van daaruit ook een schitterend uitzicht over de zee.
    Veel te bezichtigen in de omgeving mbt Dday, erg indrukwekkend. Leuke, kleine plaatsjes en mooie natuur. Absoluut een aanrader”

    “Oké het is een stil dorp. Er is echt niks te doen 's avonds. Behalve het strand (kiezel) wat op een kilometer of wat ervan af ligt. Heerlijk om de honden te laten "zwemmen". Bakker om de hoek en is 's morgens vanaf 7 uur open (jammer van die niet volledig afgebakte croissantjes, de jumbo bakt ze beter, maar oké). Voor de rest is het een mooie uitvalsbasis om mooie uitstapjes te maken. Wij hebben onder andere Honfleur, (leuke plaats en je kan er heerlijk eten), natuurlijk Cherbourg (met de onderzeeër en de Titanic) en de vissersdorpen Ouistreham (oesterdorp) daar eet je echt vis die 's morgens gevangen is, mmmm heerlijk en Grancamp Maisy. Ja mooie omgeving.”
