“The beach is a Natura2000 area where wildlife should bloom. That must be years ago. The seabed rocks were covered by a thick layer of debris and grease. The water is relatively clear the first few meters, however nothing alive is seen. Water temperature is a bit chilly with distinct temperature layers (cold water at the bottom). Beach was free of trash and a bouy-belt separates the boats from the swimming area.
It consist of gravel on the beach itself and the first few meters, then a few layers of round stones before turning into sand. For larger kids which can get to the sand area them selves its fine, for small kids Croatia has better to offer. The beach is very narrow about 4 m wide, but people are laying in two rows. It's literally impossible to walk along the beach without walking in the water. Its 2 meter lower than the houses, and since it's faced east-south-east, so evening comes early. but the elevation lees for the strong northern wind.
THere is one large restaurant on the beach with normal turist prizes and a few bars/coffee bars which also has pedal boats and paddle boards for rent. In Vlasici is a typical village with very small mini market and a Church but nothing else. however a nice holiday camp in Vlasici added around 50 young teenagers and three each day to already full beach. Only the exchange day (Saturday) was the beach at bit less crowded
We stayed only one day at the Vlasici beach and drove to other nearby beaches.
The surrounding appartements are multi family houses, so the evening was full of happy adults with all that brings with it of laughter and singing. Not disturbingly loud or late at night, but similar to what can be expected if sitting on a hotel balcony at a summer turist hotel
This is not a place for relaxation, or family life with smaller kids.
The near beach placement cannot be fully valued when you need to walk 100m along the beach just to find a spot for your towels.”
