The flats:
The two beautiful, modern and quietly located flats Horizon 4 Panorama and Horizon 5 were built in 2020, barrier-free and with a lift. The building is ecologically built and the natural materials provide a healthy, cosy atmosphere. All rooms - except the bathrooms - have oak parquet flooring. The flats are airy and bright.
Horizon 4 is located on the top floor of the house and has a large panoramic window with a wonderful view of the mountains, countryside and lake. You can watch the sun rise over the mountains until sunset.
The flat has 3.5 rooms and a gallery, which can be reached by stairs.
Bedroom 1: 1 double bed 180x200.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds 90x200 (can be put together to form a double bed)
Open gallery accessible by wooden stairs: 1 double bed 180x200
One duvet 160x200 per bed, pillows 70x100 or 50x70
For additional sleeping places you will find 2 additional mattresses 90x200 and 2 camping mattresses for children 80x190x10 on the gallery.
You will also find additional pillows 70x100 and blankets 160x200.
In the bedrooms there is enough space for a cot or a mattress.
The room has: two bedside tables, two bedside lamps, shelf/rack on the wall, wardrobe, armchair.
The flat has 2 separate bathrooms, each with shower/WC and hairdryer. The larger bathroom is equipped with a double washbasin, a rain shower and a washing machine.
In the living room there is a large, cosy sofa and a reading bench next to the panoramic window, where there is also a TV. The large wooden table in the dining area can be extended to 3 metres and has 8 chairs. If you need more seating, there are additional chairs and armchairs in the rooms and on the terrace.
The open-plan kitchen with cooking island is modern and fully equipped: Dishwasher, induction hob, Nespresso capsule machine, combi steamer, microwave, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, blender, kettle, toaster, fondue, raclette oven. You will also find a cupboard with a hoover, mop, broom and cleaning materials. A cleaning service is available for long-term tenants.
The large, sunny terrace with an unobstructed view of the mountains and lake is equipped with deckchairs, table and electric barbecue. If you want to take your hammock with you: there are 2 attachments for it.
The flat is barrier-free and each floor is accessible by lift, making it perfect for guests with reduced mobility.
You can safely store your personal equipment in the large ski room and bike room.
The flat has a covered and an open car park right next to the house.
The fast Wifi/Internet is free of charge.
Location:
The house is very central and very quiet in the agricultural zone, slightly elevated above the village.
It is just a 3-minute walk to the lake and the mountain railway, 4 minutes to the bus stop and just under 2 minutes to the grocery shop. In the immediate vicinity you will also find good restaurants, a hairdresser, post office, tourist office and a large sports shop. A health food shop is just round the corner on the main street.
Summer activities:
Mountain sports, hiking, biking, paragliding, water sports, fishing, tennis, minigolf, scooter descent from the Rigisalp, toboggan run and much more. In the nearby Gantrisch Mountains there is a via ferrata and mountain routes to numerous peaks.
Various children's playgrounds and fireplaces, mushroom forests, adventure trails, Kneipp path.
Winter activities:
Skiing (also night skiing and night sledging, floodlit piste), ski tours, snowshoe trails, toboggan runs, ice skating, cross-country ski trail for classic and skating, children's toboggan run, children's ski lift, ski lessons, ice palace. In winter, the lake is often frozen over and open for skating and hiking. In the nearby Gantrisch region there are extensive cross-country ski trails for classic and skating. (LZG Gantrisch cross-country skiing centre), as well as numerous wonderful ski tours to many peaks.
Equipment/rental:
You can hire the following and more on site: Skis, ice skates, snowshoes, sledges, SUPs, canoes, rowing boats, paddle boats, bikes, electric bikes. Ski lessons, tandem flights for paragliders and guided tours in the surrounding mountains can be booked in the sports shop.
Within easy reach:
The Gantrisch Nature Park with its magnificent mountains can be reached in 15 minutes by car.
And when the city and culture call:
The historic city of Fribourg can be reached in 30 minutes.
The beautiful federal capital of Bern can be reached in 50 minutes by car.
And Geneva is a 2-hour drive away.
