Living in Mallorca as it was 100 years ago, but with the comforts of the 21st century - that and more awaits you in Can Gelat, a lovingly renovated villa. Wall to wall with the neighbouring Can Puri (which can also be booked if required), both houses enjoy the heavenly rural tranquillity and the proximity to authentic places such as the observatory village of Costitx or the medieval towns of Sencelles and Sineu. The picturesque natural stone house has parking for 5 cars and has a secure, fenced green area at the rear, where there is a chlorinated swimming pool, ideal for children to swim in. The pool can be easily observed from the covered terrace and the lemon-coloured sun loungers. The open area offers yet another advantage: easy barbecues for large groups! The small outdoor kitchen is directly connected to the indoor kitchen, making preparation a breeze, while the two groups of tables provide plenty of space for everyone.

The historic dry stone wall, which has been preserved throughout the house, creates a unique atmosphere with its bright and colourful mix of colours combined with a warm wooden look. Thanks to the thick walls and the impressive interior view, you won't break a sweat even in the hottest summer temperatures. The staircase leads up from the cosy, air-conditioned living/dining room with satellite TV to two comfortable guest bedrooms (beds with single mattresses!), which share a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. The charming third bedroom has a sofa bed and is ideal as a reading and writing room when not occupied by other guests. On the ground floor there is space for two more guests to sleep and shower. Right next door is the well-equipped country kitchen with gas hob and outdoor barbecue. The property also benefits from a laundry room with iron and ironing board, so you can pack as little as possible (after all, you'll need plenty of room for souvenirs, orange liqueur and an outfit bought in Inca, but more on that in the next paragraph).

Around Sineu, Costitx & Co. you will always find traditional and modern elements combined. In Sencelles, a café like Can Pep is sure to win you over - a pinch of trendy New York, a bit of old-fashioned Vienna, all combined in Mallorca's sweet almond pastries. Every Friday and Saturday evening, the Observatorio Astronómico uses state-of-the-art technology to read your Christmas stars, while the centuries-old Bodega Miquel Oliver in the wine village of Binissalem invites you to sample one of its marvellous wines in its wooden barrels. On the way to the bay of Alcúdia, you should definitely try your luck in the Pagessos outlet of the venerable luxury brand Lottusse, where you can find high-quality leather at half price! Because in the heart of the island, everyone can find what they really want In the tranquil, rural heart of the island, just a few minutes' drive from Costitx and Sencelles, lies the 100-year-old, lovingly restored Villa Can Gelat. sits side by side with its neighbour. Supermarket, bakery, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. If you want to go shopping, you should drive to the town of Inca (15 km). The sandy beaches of Palma or the sea in Badia dAlcúdia are just 30 km away.
