The traditional market on Saturday attracts holiday-goers from the surrounding area and the stall-owners welcome foreign customers.
The surrounding coast has several inlets with dramatic, steep mountains running parallel.
At nearby Gümüşlük, just up the coast, the ruins of ancient Myndos can be clearly seen in the knee deep water that leads from the middle of the two bays to picturesque Rabbit Island.
Gümüşlük, as well as being renowned for its excellent fish restaurants, serving the freshest catch, also has a popular series of concerts as part of its music festival throughout July and August.
Türkbükü, the "Saint-Tropez" of Turkey, boasts an elegant, sophisticated night-life for a discerning, jet-setting crowd.

The architecture of the villa is in the style of traditional and elegant aegean villas. The customary ocher façade surrounded by palms, olive trees, gardens and citrus plants make this luxury villa an oasis of calm and relaxation. Only 2 minutes walking distance from the beach on a wonderful location close to town center but quietly and only 15 minutes walking distance from Turgutreis centre. The fact that the surrounding area is all on level ground, means there is no need to hire a car. This saves costs and benfits the environment!
Self contained totally separate unit in a Villa, well appointed and situated in a large garden with a South/East facing panoramic view to citrus (oranges, mandarins, clementines, satsumas) plantation and mountains, with an incredible sunset every morning.

It´s a well appointed flat, situated in a large garden with a South/East facing panoramic view to citrus (oranges, mandarins, clementines, satsumas) plantation and mountains, with an incredible sunrise every morning.

Sleeping area has a queen-size bed (150cm wide x 200cm long), storage space and one wardrobe. A door separates the sleeping area from the bathroom and kitchen at night.
There are 14 Turkish islands and the Greek islands Kos and Kalimnos nearby. Gorgeous Kos is steeped in history dating back to Homeric times (a contingent from Kos participated in the siege of Troy) and the ancient gymnasium and odeon are still marvelously well-kept.
Moreover, being only 20km from the bright lights of Bodrum, with its young, thrill-seeking crowd, you will never be at a loss for things to do. That said, Bodrum is not only about partying and thrills but is steeped in impressive history. The town is dominated by the 14th Century castle, built by the Knights Templar. The range of styles of architecture and the impressive carvings and statues show the fascinating history of the region and the castle brings together the legacies of some of the Mediterranean's most influential civilizations.
Our Holiday Homes are perfectly situated for those interested in exploring historical sites along Turkey's gorgeous coastline or island hopping in the Aegean. Ephesus, Halicarnassus, and Miletus, are important archaeological coastal sites.

From the village of Turgutreis with shops and sea side restaurants, many serving fresh locally caught seafood. Turgutreis has a long sandy beach and several 5 star hotels. The location is preferred by those seeking a quieter and less crowded location. The historic fishing village is located 500 m north, famous for the sunken Roman era city of Myndos, its Classical music festival and many fish restaurants. Turgutreis has a weekly farmers market a yacht marina with luxury boutiques and cafes, social events and an attractive atmosphere. In Bodrum centre there are many restaurants and night clubs. There is also a castle in the harbour, several supermarkets, many restaurants and facilities. There is which is an impressive landmark in the region. Out of nearby Turgutreis (and Bodrum) it is possible to go to the Greek Island of Kos for a day and join daily boats trips to visit nearby islands and bays.
